HiddenLayer Raises $100M for AI Runtime Security

Artificial intelligence security company HiddenLayer announced Wednesday that it is raising $100 million in a Series B funding round, bringing the company’s total raised above $155 million.

Founded in 2022, based in Austin HiddenLayer secures the lifecycle of agentive, generative, and predictive AI applications, protecting agents from evolving threats.

The company’s enterprise platform provides discovery, AI supply chain security, attack simulation and runtime protection for AI agents, ensuring compliance, safe AI adoption and intellectual property protection.

HiddenLayer plans to invest the fresh funds in expanding the platform with agent-based runtime protection capabilities that include AI encoding agents.

The company will focus on providing enterprises with visibility into how AI agents are operating in production to stop anomalous behavior, including manipulation, abuse and unauthorized actions.

Additionally, he wants to provide autonomous agents that write, review and send code with less human oversight, saying that only comprehensive AI security can continuously test and prove trust in AI.

“We set out to pioneer the trusted, secure use of AI for the enterprise long before most organizations understood the urgency we do today. This funding allows us to continue to develop the purpose-built team and platform needed to meet this moment as agentic AI becomes central to how enterprises operate,” said HiddenLayer Co-Founder and CEO Chris Sestito.

The new investment round was led by Delta-v Capital, with additional support from Booz Allen Ventures, Microsoft’s Venture Fund M12, Morgan Stanley and Ten Eleven Ventures.
