Of course, you have to deal with the slower A18 Pro chip (though believe me, it’s no slouch), fewer ports, and 8GB of memory, but it’s completely reasonable for the price. At the top of the lineup is MacBook Pro. You get the best of the best, although there is one important caveat. It is reported that Apple is redesigning the high-end variants of MacBook Pro Later this year with OLED, touchscreen, and thinner design.
That new design will launch with the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, though — so if you’re someone who bought the base model with the M5 chip, you’re still clear about buying a new MacBook today. Likewise if you don’t care about the new design, because the M5 Pro and M5 Max are still incredible new chips.
