Anthropic’s Claude AI service is experiencing problems right now. An increasing number of users are reporting difficulties accessing the platform. Outage reports have also increased Low detector and X.
The outage appears to have started around 12:00 AM on August 24th, meaning it has been going on for over two hours at the time of writing.
Anthropic acknowledged its problem status pageClaude said it has identified the cause of “high bugs” affecting requests for several Claude models, including the Claude Mythos 5, Claude Fable 5 and Claude Opus 5. The company says it’s working on a fix.
The status page originally listed Claude Opus 4.8 as one of the affected models, before Anthropic updated the announcement to say that the problem affected multiple models. In its latest update, Anthropic said it is “continuing to work to resolve issues causing high requests on multiple models” and will provide another update as soon as possible.
