Indie App Spotlight: ‘KeyAlarm’ turns your most important calendar events into alarm clocks

Welcome to the Indie App Spotlight. This is a weekly 9to5Mac series where we showcase the latest apps in the indie app world. If you are a developer and want your app to stand out, please get in touch.

Calendar events can often be missed, especially since they are often reminders. If you are on Do Not Disturb or not looking at your phone, you may not see it. with Alarm buttonSome important calendar events can easily be turned into alarm clocks, letting you know about the most important things.

Important features

As the name suggests, Alarm button Work with keywords. For example, if you set the word “Dentist”, all future calendar events with the word in the title will automatically receive an alarm, saving you the trouble of doing it individually for every instance. You can also set in advance when the alarm will go off, so that you have time to drive or travel.

Alarm button Also supports multiple alarms for the same event. If you want an hour, then 15 minutes before you have to be there – the app supports that, and it saves for future events too.

Finally, you can also set alarms for the entire calendar if you want. For example, if you have one calendar for family events, one for personal, and one for work – you can change the alarm clock accordingly. Keyword activation can also be done on a per-calendar basis instead of globally. All this is possible with the new AlarmKit framework in iOS 26.

Download the app
