TL; DR

  • Mammotion has launched new robotic lawn mowers for both home owners and professionals.
  • The LUBA 4 AWD series can cover up to three acres and features four cameras, LiDAR and NetRTK.
  • Maston series with fleet management systems, NetRTK, all-wheel drive and more.

Mammotion, the company behind robotic lawn mowers like the LUBA 3 AWD, today launched a new line of lawn mowers for homeowners and professionals. The company has announced two new product series: the Mammotion LUBA 4 AWD series and the Mammotion Maston series.

Mammotion LUBA 4 AWD series

LUBA 4 is Mammotion’s flagship series for home lawn mowing. The company offers three models for different sized lawns: the LUBA 4 AWD 3000F can mow lawns up to 3,000 square meters (~0.75 acres), the 6000F can mow lawns up to 6,000 square meters (~1.5 acres) and the 12,000F (about three square meters).

All three models come with a surround-looking four-camera array covering the front, side and rear. Lawnmowers are also equipped with 360-degree LiDAR and NetRTK. The company says the combination of these cameras, LiDAR and NetRTK will provide reliable navigation around your lawn. Mammotion also includes free worldwide NetRTK data.

As the name suggests, all three models in the series are equipped with all-wheel drive (AWD), with torque vectoring for each wheel, allowing the LUBA 4 AWD to easily change direction and handle slopes of up to 80% (~38 degrees).

The LUBA 4 AWD 3000F and 6000F come with dual cutting discs, 440mm cutting width and adjustable cutting height from 25mm to 100mm. The LUBA 4 AWD 12000F comes with three cutting discs, a cutting width of 530mm and an adjustable cutting height between 25mm and 85mm. It also supports multi-zone control of up to 100 zones compared to 30 and 50 zones for the 3000F and 6000F respectively.

Mammotion Maston series

The Maston series is Mammotion’s first foray into robotic lawn mowers for commercial properties. It is designed for areas such as large parks and sports fields and comes with fleet management features, so multiple Maston series lawnmowers can cover large areas.

The Maston series uses a rear camera with four ultrasonic sensors, 360-degree LiDAR, NetRTK and AI vision for wireless navigation and obstacle detection/avoidance, among other features.

Mammotion offers two cutter configurations in the Maston series: the Maston Rotary for coarse grass and overgrown areas, and the Maston Flail for fine turf like the grass found on golf courses.

The Mammotion Maston series of lawn mowers also feature AWD to handle slopes of up to 70% (~35 degrees). It also adds features like zero-turn steering and hill hold assist. The company used a modular design for the Maston series with quick-release interfaces for cutting discs, sensors, wheels and batteries to facilitate maintenance and repair.

Pricing and availability details

Mammotion has yet to share pricing or availability details for the LUBA 4 AWD series lawnmowers, but that information is expected later this year. The Maston series, on the other hand, is available for pre-order in Europe and Australia, but the company hasn’t said anything about a US release date or price.
