TCL launches Q85K flagship with Bang & Olufsen sound

At IFA 2026, TCL announced the Q85-UK flagship in the UK, tuned by Bang & Olufsen and topped by a four-strong speaker line-up that delivers sound to match the TV’s picture.

Slim television designs often struggle to match picture quality with equally scaled sound. TCL’s new Q series aims to eliminate this shortcoming by supporting immersive sound and automatic room calibration.

The Q85K-UK pairs a speaker and a wireless subwoofer in one package with a 7.1.2 channel configuration with 16 drivers to put the sound in front of, next to and above the viewer.

This placement helps make movies, sports and games even more immersive, while Dolby Atmos and DTS:X content extends sound further into the room, supported by up to 1180W of maximum sound power for greater scale.

Its wireless subwoofer uses two 7-inch drivers in a Push-Push configuration to create deep, controlled bass while reducing unwanted vibrations during louder, bassier movie and music moments in the room.

Bang & Olufsen audio delivers unique tuning, while B&O beamforming technology directs sound to improve dialogue clarity and separate sounds, music and effects during complex scenes.

Since every room sounds different, AI Sonic-Adaptation analyzes the listening environment and automatically adjusts the sound, a process that helps users achieve a more balanced sound without having to manually navigate complex settings.

HDMI 2.1 with eARC simplifies setup via a single compatible cable, while ALLM support keeps gaming responsive and compatible Dolby Vision signals can pass through the soundbar on its way to the screen.

Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and Google Cast provide wireless playback options, and Tutti Choral allows the Q85K to work with a compatible TCL television’s native speakers as one coordinated system.

TCL has designed the Q85K-UK for 65-inch and larger televisions, and the soundbar will arrive in UK retailers from late September 2026 for an RRP of £749.

TCL also lists the ultra-slim A65K soundbar, a 50mm-deep 3.1.2-channel model with Dolby Atmos and Bang & Olufsen tuning, priced at £249. The Dolby Atmos FlexConnect wireless speaker system Z100-UK completes the range, supporting up to four units and an optional subwoofer, priced at £199 each.
