Bridgewater Associates hedge fund founder Ray Dalio has urged investors to put money into gold and “a little bit of Bitcoin” in response to the credit crisis.
In a LinkedIn post on Friday, Dalio said Having 10% to 15% of one’s portfolio in gold can help reduce risk. He advocated gold and bitcoin (BTC) as overweight assets over debt assets like bonds, citing risks from “internal political and external geopolitical conflicts.”
“My guess, which I think would be a bad one, is that (the U.S. debt crisis) will come within three years, if we don’t change the course we’re on, give or take two,” Dalio said.
