- With the official version of the Pixel 11 series, features like Magic Capture, 4K Portrait Video, Pro Stable Video and 8K Video Boost should make the phones especially interesting for football-focused content.
Google is strengthening its European soccer footprint by expanding multi-year partnerships with five of the world’s biggest clubs: Arsenal, Barcelona, FC Munich, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain. Taking on the dual role of official consumer AI and official smartphone partner, Google puts Gemini and its new Pixel 11 series at the center of matchday culture.
We’re used to seeing the Pixel devices capture unfiltered, behind-the-scenes content, post-match tunnel interviews and highlights. a blog postGoogle says this renewed push will expand Pixel Capture moments on the men’s and women’s teams. At the same time, Gemini is positioned as every fan’s tactical partner, ready to analyze mid-game formation shifts or quickly resolve post-match statistical debates.
The timing couldn’t be better as Europe’s top domestic leagues get ready. English Premier League champions Arsenal host Coventry City this Friday, followed by Liverpool hosting Newcastle on Sunday, August 23. In Spain, reigning La Liga champions Barcelona travel to Elche on Sunday, while reigning UCL champions PSG face Rennes in the Bundesliga this weekend on August 28.

As these matches heat up, expect the club’s media teams to lean heavily on the Pixel 11’s updated camera hardware. Features like Magic Capture, which automatically produces crisp, HDR+ still photos while recording video for high-octane stadium action, won’t blink and you won’t miss it. This can be especially useful when a photographer or social media team only has one chance to capture a goal celebration or a player’s reaction.
The Pixel 11 Tensor G6 also adds 4K portrait video, while the Pro models get Pro Stable Video and 8K Video Boost. The latter two should be especially useful for polished social videos, interviews and action shots where stabilization and extra detail are important.
As Google has seen its steady presence in sports media in recent seasons, this expanded multi-club push feels like a natural evolution. As the action in Europe heats up in the coming weeks, keep an eye out for how the Pixel 11 and Gemini will change the content of the match both on and off the pitch.
