Included in today’s macOS Tahoe 26.7 Release Candidate is a short video that appears to show Visual Intelligence in action on Apple’s rumored camera. AirPods. See it below.
macOS 26.7 includes a demo for AirPods with a camera
MacRumors Discover a short video included in today’s macOS Tahoe 26.7 RC where a man wearing AirPods appears to ask Siri to remember the book he’s looking at, as Siri’s voice says:
With Visual Intelligence, your world becomes safer. See what you like? Just ask me to save it for later.
In the video, the camera itself is not visible, and the headphones look similar to the current one AirPods Pro. The most obvious difference is the stem, which seems thicker.
Aaron Perris also posted the same video on X:
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman previously reported that Apple could launch AirPods with the camera earlier this year under the code B790. Previously, S. MacRumors Also found a reference to the B790 in macOS 26.7 RC, including code for “image streaming.”
Interestingly, these AirPods are reported to be separate from the model with another camera that Bloomberg said Apple has developed under the code name B798, which is expected in 2027.
Given Apple’s decision to include this demo in macOS 26.7 RC, it is highly likely that AirPods with these cameras will be announced next month during the iPhone event.
