CarPlay has picked up its fifth major AI chatbot app with the addition of Claude. Anthropic’s iPhone app adds CarPlay as the second AI chatbot app to be updated with support this week.
Since iOS 26.4, Apple has supported chat apps in CarPlay.
This category includes AI chatbot apps. Siri AI joins the CarPlay party starting with iOS 27. The iPhone software update is currently in beta ahead of its official release this month.
A few days ago, Meta AI joined the list that already includes ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Grok.
Next up is a holdover among major AI companies: Anthropic.

The app displays a list of recent conversations that you can continue, or you can start a new voice conversation with Claude’s voice function.
