In an extensive report published this morning, BloombergApple’s Mark Gurman says Apple could announce a new Mac mini in the next few days, ahead of an expected September event.
Gurman also detailed other products Apple has in the pipeline, including the AirPods 5, which may launch as early as next month. He said the company’s next event is expected to be held on September 9 and will also feature the first foldable iPhone, the iPhone 18 Pro lineup and the new Apple Watch.

The company is also preparing a series of new Apple Watches with minor changes, including upgraded fitness tracking and a ceramic-case option for the Series 12 models. And it is planning to launch fresh AirPods as soon as the September product launch event.
The launch will include the new AirPods 5, which is an update to Apple’s entry-level earbuds, the people said. That model was last updated in 2024. A version of the AirPods with a camera, meanwhile, isn’t expected until next year.
Interestingly, Gurman followed up his own report with a Posted in XAdding that the AirPods 5 are expected to have both normal and noise cancelling:
While reports on the timing of AirPods 5 are scarce, the earbuds are generally expected to arrive in 2027. Apple is also reportedly developing AirPods with dual cameras that will use Visual Intelligence and Siri for AI-powered features.
Recently, Apple has included a video demonstration of AirPods with a faulty camera in macOS 26.7 candidates, although the clip does not clearly show that there is a physical difference between the devices.
