If you wanted a phone with character instead of another glass rectangle, then this Semmi phone (4a) offer is for you.
This kind of savings is rare for a phone that’s only been on the market for a few months, and this 4a Pro puts the 4a Pro well below what you’d normally pay for a phone with an original aluminum unibody design.
One of our expert reviewers, Cam Bunton, spent weeks testing the Nothing Phone 4a Pro and was won over by its solid aluminum unibody, a rare choice in an industry that has largely settled on glass and plastic.
The same review praised the playful Glyph Matrix display built into the camera island, which can flash for notifications, act as a countdown timer, or display a simple always-on clock without draining the battery.
The software played just as big a role in the impression left, with Nothing OS 4.1 being praised for closely marrying its retro-futuristic aesthetic to the hardware, while refreshingly dealing with unnecessary bloatware or duplicate apps.
The 6.8-inch AMOLED screen was another highlight, reaching 144Hz and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits for HDR content, which our expert says is completely above what we’d expect at this price point.
The triple camera system also impressed during testing: the 50MP main sensor delivers sharp, balanced shots in bright conditions, and the 3.5x telephoto lens proved really useful every time for both close-up details and zoomed-in scenes.
Battery life stood out as one of the phone’s biggest strengths, as the 5,000 mAh cell can withstand a full day of use, even under heavy testing, and can be fully charged in just over an hour using the 50W charger.
So if you want an Android phone with genuine character instead of another rectangular slab of glass, what better time to pick up the Nothing Phone 4a Pro for £406.60 instead of £499?
